Health Awareness Program

Health Awareness Session by PHC, Hut Bay

Date: 2nd August 2025

Time: 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Venue: Vidyalaya Stage, VKV Hutbay

Total No  of Participation : 94 Students + 10 teachers

A team of medical staff led by Dr. Subrato Sikder from the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Hut Bay, conducted a session on Hand Washing and Personal Hygiene (Prevetive measure of Diarrhea) for Balvatika 1 to Class V students.

During the session, one of the PHC Staff, Smt. Sagarika Mistry, 

* Demonstrated the 7 steps of hand washing.

* Introduced personal hygiene habits, such as brushing teeth, bathing daily, and wearing clean clothes.

The interactive session was engaging, informative, and left a lasting impact on students' daily hygiene practices. The medical staff's visit was a valuable experience, combining education with entertainment.

Guru Purnima Celebration

Time: 12:45 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Venue: School Hall


Our vidyalaya celebrated Guru Poornima, a revered festival honoring spiritual teachers and mentors. The program commenced with the chanting of the Guru Mantra, followed by an insightful address by Principal Shri S. Rajkumar, highlighting the significance of this auspicious day.


Key Highlights:


1. Student Speech: A student delivered an inspiring speech.

2. Guru Bhajan: Students sang devotional songs, filling the atmosphere with spiritual fervor.

Attendance: 145 students and 12 teachers participated in the celebration.


The program concluded at 2:30 p.m., leaving a lasting impact on the students and staff.


Let us continue learning, growing, and striving to become better human beings — because that is the true offering we can give to our Gurus.

Swami Vivekananda's Mahasamadhi Diwas was observed in our vidyalaya on the 4th of July at 9:00 a.m. This day marks the 123rd anniversary of the great saint's Mahasamadhi. Swami Vivekananda, a revered spiritual leader and visionary, continues to inspire countless followers with his teachings and philosophy. On this occasion, we come together to honor his legacy and reflect on his timeless messages.

This day serves as a tribute to the revered spiritual leader, Swami Vivekananda, who left an indelible mark on the world through his wisdom and vision. His teachings continue to inspire and guide many.

Water Bell System


Water Bell System

  • All living organisms are predominantly made of water and we human beings are made of about 60%.
  • Water is a necessary for all the chemical reactions that occur in living cells.
  • Our Vidyalaya has initiated a Water Bell System in our daily routine.
  • During the short breaks, we ring water bell twice in a day so that children drink enough water.
  • Our idea is simple and more effective.

Saraswati Puja Celebration

Saraswati Puja Celebration: A Day of Knowledge and Innovation      

On Monday, February 3rd 2025, our vidyalaya enthusiastically celebrated the revered Goddess of Knowledge, Maa Saraswati, with a grand puja ceremony. The festivities commenced at 7:30 a.m. with heartfelt prayers offered to the Goddess of wisdom, seeking her blessings and guidance.

The aarti ceremony was a impressive and touching moment, as teachers, students, and parents collectively offered flowers to Maa Saraswati, invoking her divine presence and seeking her blessings.

 

Inauguration of Library, Computer and Science Laboratories

 

The celebration was further elevated with the inauguration of our newly established library, computer and science laboratories.

Our esteemed Chief Guest, Shri S. Parmanathan, Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Little Andaman graciously unveiled the ceremonial cloth from the plaque, it is a symbolic gesture to officially mark the inauguration of these state-of-the-art facilities. The Chief Guest was accompanied by our distinguished dignitaries like Shri. Ajoy Mondal, Tehsildar, Little Andaman, Shri. Rudra Murthy, Pradhan of Hutbay Panchayat, Little Andaman and members of PTA and SMC,VKV, Hutbay.

 

Prasad Distribution and Conclusion


The joyous celebration culminated with the distribution of Bhog Prasad from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm to all attendees, including students, parents, guests and teachers. This auspicious occasion not only honored Maa Saraswati but also heralded a new era of learning and innovation in our vidyalaya.

Republic Day Celebration

  Republic Day Celebration

           

 The 76th Republic Day celebrations were held at our vidyalaya on January 26, 2025, with immense pride and patriotism. The day began with a vibrant 'Prabhaat Pheri' procession, where students from Balvatika 1 to Class VIII enthusiastically participated.

















The National Flag was then unfurled, followed by stirring patriotic song performances by Class VII and VIII students. Shri R. Venu Rao, our Headmaster, delivered an address highlighting the significance of Republic Day.  
Kumar. Sahil Xalxo, a Class VII student, also presented an inspiring speech on the occasion. The celebration concluded with refreshments for students and teachers, wrapping up by 7:30 am.

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti

 

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA JAYANTI

The 162nd Swami Vivekananda Jayanti / National Youth Day 2025 was celebrated withgreat enthusiasm and fervor at our vidyalaya on January 12, 2025 at 5.00 pm. 

The Chief Guest was Shri Prabhash Roy  Zonal Officer and Principal, GMSSS, Hut Bay and the Guest of Honour was Smti. Bandana Chakrabarty, Executive Engineer, MID, APWD, Hut Bay, Little Andaman.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony for the Inter-house competitions held in connection with Swamiji's Jayanti. The "Balsabha Champion House Trophy of the year 2024-25" was awarded to "Charaka House" (Green House) for their exceptional performances throughout the year in various Inter-house individual competitions, Display Board and Assembly activities.

      

The students of Balvatika I to Class VIII presented a vibrant cultural programme, featuring devotional and patriotic dances, Swamiji’s and patriotic group songs and a skit based on "Instances from Swami Vivekananda's life. Programme was concluded at 7.30 pm.
