Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Hut Bay celebrated ‘Children’s Day’ with great vehemence, to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of ‘Pandit JawaharLal Nehru’. On this occasion, we had a cultural programme, in which the students performed their dances and sang melodious songs. Teachers and students paid floral tribute to Nehru Ji’s portrait. We had two speeches also. Through the speeches, children better understood about our first Prime Minister, ‘Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’, who is known for his persistent efforts in increasing awareness of the rights, care and education of children. The programme ended with sweet distribution.
Gandhi ji & Lal
Bahadur Shasthri ji Jayanti Celebration
On 2nd October 2024, Gandhi ji and Lal Bahadur Shasthri ji Jayanti were celebrated in our vidyalaya. Around 90 student, teaching and non-teaching staff were present for the celebration and the programme started with a Prabhat Pheri, and then we paid floral tribute to portraits of Gandhi ji and Shasthri ji. Later, everyone sang Ram Dhun together and we had two speeches, one had been given by a teacher and another by a Class VII student. Then, the refreshment was given to everyone and we dispersed at 10:30 a.m.
On 11 September 2024, our vidyalaya celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day which marks the commemoration of Swami Vivekananda's famous speech delivered on September 11, 1893 to the delegates of the World Parliament of Religions at Chicago. The programme was started by chanting three omkaras, Shanti paath and Om - Saha Navavatu. After that, the Headmaster, Shri R. Venu Rao welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries followed by lighting the lamp by the Chief Guest Shri. Paramanathan, Pramukh, Little Andaman. We had a cultural programme in which the students of our vidyalaya showcased their singing and dancing talents. We had two speeches, one was given by a teacher named Mr Tanai Kumar Biswas and the other speech was given by a student of class VII, named Ms Anshifa. We conducted competitions like Swamiji’s Getup (Fancy dress) for Pre-Primary level, , Drawing and colouring of Swamiji’s portrait for Primary Level and Swamiji’s Chicago Speech for Upper Primary level and the prizes for winners were given by the Chief Guest and other guests. There were 119 students, parents, well wishers and guests witnessed the programme and it was concluded at 11.55 am with Prarthana.
Report on Ganesh Chaturthi
On 7th September 2024, Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated in our vidyalaya at around 9:00 a.m. about 104 students, parents, guests along with all teaching and non-teaching staff were present to glitter the programme. On this auspicious occasion, the students as well as all teachers took part in Ganesh pooja and bhajan. Then Prasad Vitaran took place and we dispersed at 10:30 a.m.
On Thursday, the 5th September 2024, our Vidyalaya celebrated Teachers Day with pomp and show. The programme was organised and executed by the students of class VIII. In the morning, they took up the role of teachers and they taught and engaged the lower classes realising the roles and responsibilities of a teacher. In the afternoon at 1:00 p.m., we had a cultural and games programme which was fully organised by the Class VIII students with the guidance of our teachers. It started with 3 Omkaras followed by Shanti Paath. Then the students of our vidyalaya showcased their talent through singing, dancing and skit based on the pious day. We too had two speeches both in Hindi and English to reflect the significance of the day, hindi speech was given by one of the teachers Smt. Jyoti Kana Roy and in English by a student of Class VII Kumar. Tanmay Kishan. The programme concluded with prarthana at 2.30 pm.
Report on Shree Krishna Janmashtami 2024
On 26th August 2024, Janmashtami was celebrated in our vidyalaya at around 9:00 a.m. Around 100 students, Guests, parents and all the teaching and non-teaching staff were present. The celebration started with 3 Omkaras followed by Shanti Paath and Aikya Mantra. Later on, the headmaster, Shri Venu Rao welcomed our guests and parents. After that, we had a cultural programme where there were singing and dancing by the students of our vidyalaya. We had two speeches, one in English given by a teacher named Mrs. Swapna Sardar and another one in Hindi given by a student of Class VII named Kumari. Sajel. A Fancy Dress Competition was also held, where Balvatika 1 to 3 students of our vidyalaya dressed as Krishna and Radha and showcased their talents. At the end, Shri. Manmad Rao delivered vote of thanks, then prashad distribution took place and the auspicious ceremony ended at 10:30 a.m.
Report on 78th Independence Day Celebration
On 15th August 2024, our 78th Independence Day of Bharat was celebrated in our Vidyalaya from 6.30 am onwards. Around 120 students and parents along with all teaching and non-teaching staff, we started our programme at 6.30 am with Prabhat Pherry and at 7.00 a.m., our Headmaster Shri R. Venu Rao hoisted national flag and it was followed with the National Anthem. After that we had a cultural progamme, where our primary class students sang a melodious patriotic song, ‘Ek daur naya’ and then one more patriotic song ‘Chale Nirantar’ was sung by each and every student of our vidyalaya along with all the teaching staff of our vidyalaya. We had two speeches both in English and Hindi, one of our teachers Ms. Sitawati Majhi gave an inspirational English speech and the other one about the significance of the day in Hindi was delivered by Kumari. Manbi of class VIII and at 7.30 am, the celebration ended with sweet distribution and dispersal.
SHIKSHA SAPTAH 2024
(A WEEK LONG CELEBRATIONS)
The Ministry of Education, Government of India, was celebrating “Shiksha Saptah” from July 22-28, 2024, commemorating the 4th anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This week long celebration provided us an excellent opportunity to reflect on the transformative reforms introduced by NEP 2020 and reaffirm our commitment to advancing education across our nation.
On July 22, 2024, the very first day of ‘Shiksha Saptah’, our Vidyalaya organised TLM (Teaching Learning Material) day, where the teachers displayed teaching and learning materials related to science, Math and Social studies. Approximately 100 Students along with 09 teachers were present.
Day 2 – FLN Day
On July 23, 2024, the second day of ‘Shiksha Saptah’, our Vidyalaya observed FLN (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy) day. Relatively 65 students along with 08 teachers were present. Successful implementation of the NIPUN/FLN Mission was achieved as the teachers used toy based teaching and learning.
Day 3 – Sports Day
On July 24, 2024, the third day of ‘Shiksha Saptah’, Sports day was organized in our vidyalaya. Roundabout 132 students and 15 teachers were present. The students played those games which helped them to build their psychomotor skills like dexterity, flexibility and eye-hand-coordination.
Day 4 – Cultural Day
On July 25, 2024, the fourth day of ‘Shiksha Saptah’, our vidyalaya organized a Cultural day. Around 60 students and 05 teachers were present. A skit based on ‘Unity and Diversity' was enacted by the students of class 7th and 8th, which inculcated the essence of unity in diversity in them.
Day 6 – Eco Club for Mission Life
On July 27, 2024, the 6th day of ‘Shiksha Saptah’ our vidyalaya organized Eco Clubs for Mission Life/ School Nutrition day. For which, a special ‘Plantation Drive’ was carried out and approximately 140 students and 16 teachers along with parents were actively participated in planting 50 saplings inside the school compound.
Day 7 – Community involvement Day
On July 28, 2024, the seventh day of ‘Shiksha Saptah’, our Vidyalaya commemorated Community Involvement Day. During this event, along with students and our teaching And non-teaching staff, we had Shri. Paramnathan, Pramukh Hutbay, Shri Laljan ji, Secretary, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Hutbay and members of the local community were present. For emphasising community gatherings, our school organized a ‘Kendra Varga’ which began with 3 Omkaras, Shanti Paath, Aikya Mantra, Aagya Abhyasa, Yoga Abhyasa, games, songs, Avlokan, Shanti Mantra, prarthana and slogans along with a discussion on a topic ‘How to protect our Bharat being a citizen’. The program concluded with Kendra Prarthana.
